How the FeedPulse public directory works

Every website you see on this page is a real, independently registered domain that chose to publish a live traffic dashboard using one of our free widgets. FeedPulse is a privacy-respecting analytics service for indie websites — flag counters, live visitor feeds, online-now buttons, page-speed badges, and SEO trust badges that anyone can embed in a single line of HTML. When a website installs one of these widgets and records its first real visit, the domain becomes eligible for inclusion in this directory and in the related discovery surfaces: /movers for the top-gainers leaderboard and /milestones for audience milestones.

Each card on this page is a hand-off to a much deeper page. The primary link (the domain name) opens /site/{domain} — the public live dashboard with visitors-online indicators, country and city heatmaps, referrer breakdowns, and 30-day trend charts. The secondary link (📰 SEO snapshot) opens the programmatic blog post for that domain, which compiles SEO authority, domain age, backlinks, page-speed, and trust scores into a single shareable article. Both pages are public and indexable.

What counts as a "visit"?

A visit is one unique human session in a 30-minute window, identified by an IP+User-Agent hash. We discard known bots, crawlers, and prefetchers at ingest time using a combination of User-Agent matching and behavioural signals (mouse movement, scroll depth, time-on-page). Refreshing the same page or navigating around the site within 30 minutes counts as one visit, not many. The numbers you see here therefore represent human attention, not raw page-load counts.

How fresh is the data?

Visit counts update every five minutes. The "visitors online now" signal on individual dashboards is real-time (sub-second). Directory rankings, the Top Gainers leaderboard, and the "Fresh this week" rail are recomputed every fifteen minutes from the same underlying pipeline. There is no daily-batch lag — what you see here reflects activity from the last few minutes.

Why is this free?

FeedPulse is funded by a small "powered by FeedPulse" link inside the embedded widgets themselves — a tradition borrowed from classic flag counters and live-traffic feeds. The link helps new users discover us and gives every embedding website a tiny SEO contribution back from our domain. There is no paid tier, no ad placement on dashboards, no email gating, and no personal data sold. The directory you are browsing right now is the entire product surface.

How do I add my own site?

Pick any widget from the widget gallery — the live traffic feed and flag counter are the most popular starting points — and copy the single-line HTML snippet onto your website. The widget will render immediately and start counting visitors the moment your first reader loads the page. Your domain will appear in this directory within five minutes of the first verified human visit, and a programmatic SEO post will be auto-generated for it shortly after. No signup, no email, no review queue.

Can I remove my site from the directory?

Yes. The directory only lists sites that actively embed a widget — remove the widget code from your pages and your domain will roll out of the directory automatically as visit data ages out. If you need an immediate takedown for any reason, contact us through the privacy page and we will process it the same business day. We never sell, license, or share directory data with third parties.
